Privacy Policy

This policy explains what personal data Sonable collects through www.sonable.ai, why, who processes it for us, and the choices you have. Sonable ("we", "us") is the controller of this data. You can reach us about anything in this policy at hello@sonable.ai.
What we collect
- Waitlist signups: your email address, the page you signed up from, and the date and time.
- Free audit requests: your email address, your website, the competitor you name (optional), the page you came from, and the date and time. Requesting an audit also adds you to the waitlist.
- Emails you send us: if you write to an @sonable.ai address, we receive your message, your email address and any attachments.
- Website usage: aggregated page views and form-submission events, measured without cookies. Our hosting provider also keeps short-lived technical logs, which include IP addresses, to run and secure the site.
- Advertising: only if you accept cookies, Google Ads cookies record whether a visit from one of our ads led to a signup, and add your browser to audiences of past visitors so we can show you our ads on other sites (remarketing).
We don't ask for payment details, and we don't sell your personal data.
Why we use it, and on what legal basis
- To run the waitlist and deliver your free audit, and to email you about them, including when your spot opens. Basis: your consent, given when you submit the form. You can withdraw it at any time.
- To reply to your emails. Basis: our legitimate interest in answering people who contact us.
- To understand how the site is used and keep it secure, with cookie-free analytics and technical logs. Basis: our legitimate interest in running a working, secure website.
- To measure our advertising and show our ads to past visitors (remarketing) with Google Ads cookies. Basis: your consent through the cookie banner. You can change your choice at any time using Cookie settings.
Who processes it for us
We use these providers, which process personal data on our behalf under data processing agreements:
- Vercel: website hosting, technical logs and cookie-free analytics.
- Supabase: the database that stores waitlist signups and audit requests.
- Resend: sending our emails and receiving email sent to @sonable.ai.
- Google (Google Tag Manager and Google Ads): advertising measurement and remarketing, only with your consent.
Some of these providers may process data outside the European Economic Area, including in the United States. Where they do, the transfer is covered by safeguards such as the EU Standard Contractual Clauses or the EU–US Data Privacy Framework.

Our analytics don't use cookies. Until you accept, Google tags run without setting advertising cookies and you aren't added to remarketing audiences. You can also control how Google personalises ads for you at adssettings.google.com.
How long we keep it
- Waitlist signups and audit requests: until you ask us to remove them, or 24 months after our last contact with you, whichever comes first.
- Emails you send us: as long as needed to handle your message, then deleted periodically.
- Technical logs: kept by our hosting provider for a short period, typically days to a few weeks.
Your rights
Under the GDPR and similar laws, you can ask us to:
- give you a copy of your personal data,
- correct it,
- delete it,
- restrict or object to how we use it,
- send it to you or another service in a portable format,
- stop using it where we rely on your consent.
To use any of these rights, email hello@sonable.ai. We'll reply within one month. You also have the right to complain to your local data protection authority.
Children
Sonable is a service for businesses and isn't directed at anyone under 16. We don't knowingly collect data from children.
Changes to this policy
If we change this policy, we'll update the date at the top. For significant changes, we'll also let waitlist members know by email.
